Glenmorangie La Santa is a 15 year old Highland single malt, bottled at 43% ABV and non-chill filtered.
The whisky begins in ex-bourbon casks and is then finished in Oloroso sherry casks from Spain. The name nods to that Spanish sherry influence, La Santa meaning "the saint".
The nose brings dried figs, raisins, sweet orange peel and melted toffee, with warm spice, vanilla and gentle oak. The palate is smooth and warm, with dark cherries, caramelised sugar, ginger and toasted almond. The finish is medium to long, with dried fruit, soft spice and oak, closing slightly nutty.
