Glenmorangie Lasanta is a Highland single malt aged for 12 years. It spends ten years in American white oak ex-bourbon casks, then two more in Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks from Jerez. It is non-chill-filtered and pours a light russet.
The name is Gaelic for warmth and passion, a nod to the Spanish sherry casks.
The nose offers warm spices, chocolate-covered raisins, honeycomb and caramel toffee. On the palate come sweet sultanas, orange segments, walnuts and butterscotch, and the finish is long, with spiced orange and chocolate-covered hazelnuts.
