A 12 year old Highland single malt from Glenmorangie, in a 70cl bottle.
The first ten years are spent in American white oak ex-bourbon casks. The whisky then spends two more years in Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez sherry casks from Jerez, Spain.
The nose has warm spice, honeycomb, chocolate-covered raisins and soft caramel. On the palate come sherry-soaked sultanas, walnuts and orange segments, followed by butterscotch and oak. The finish is long, with chocolate-covered hazelnuts and spiced orange.
