Glenmorangie Lasanta 15 Year is a Highland single malt from the distillery at Tain, bottled at 43% ABV in a 75cl bottle.
Most of its maturation takes place in ex-American bourbon casks, followed by a finish in Oloroso sherry casks. Lasanta comes from the Gaelic word for warmth and passion.
The nose is toffee and set honey, then chocolate-covered raisins, currant buns and ripe plum. The palate is spicy and juicy, with plum, black cherry and marmalade, then cinnamon, clove and cinder toffee. The finish is long and warming, with candied orange, honeyed dates, molasses and a little dark chocolate.
