Glenmorangie – Madeira Wood Finish (Old Style) (70cl, 43%)

This is an older, discontinued bottling of Glenmorangie Madeira Wood Finish, a Highland single malt presented in the distillery's old-style bottle with a green label. It is bottled at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The whisky matured first in American oak ex-bourbon casks, then had a second maturation in fortified Madeira wine casks. This finish is described as adding rich notes to Glenmorangie's light, floral spirit. Tasting notes mention dried fruits, fresh figs, sweet citrus and warm spice, ending in a smooth, sweet and lingering oak finish.
