Glenmorangie Malaga Cask Finish 12 Year Old is a Highland single malt matured in ex-bourbon casks and then finished in casks that once held Malaga, a fortified wine from Andalusia in Spain.
It is a limited edition personally selected by Dr Bill Lumsden, bottled at 47.3% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is typically described as sweet, with honey, mead, toffee, baking bread, tea leaves, orange blossom and vanilla biscuit. The palate is rich and oily, with sultanas, raisins, dates, mandarin, milk chocolate, honey and cinnamon, and the finish is long and warming, with drying malt, sweet spice and dark sugared fruit.
