Milsean is the seventh Glenmorangie Private Edition, a Highland single malt bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. The name is Scots Gaelic for "sweet things", and the whisky was inspired by sweetshops and confectionery.
It was matured in ex-bourbon casks, then finished in heavily flamed and toasted Portuguese red wine casks. It is non-chill filtered.
The nose brings seaside fudge, coconut ice, blueberries and candied peel. On the palate there is cinnamon, yellow plum, melon, cherry drops and lemon sherbet. The finish is long and spicy, with strawberry laces and ginger snaps.
