Glenmorangie – Milsean Private Edition

Glenmorangie Milsean is the seventh release in the distillery's Private Edition series of single malts, created by Bill Lumsden. The whisky is first matured in ex-bourbon casks, then finished in re-toasted Portuguese red wine casks. The aim was to recreate the flavours of a sweet shop. The nose is perfumed, sweet and spicy, with sugar cane, ripe fruit, sherbet lemons and fudge. The palate is sweet and candy-like, with tart plum, candied orange peel, cherries and angelica. The finish is long and spicy, with ginger, brown sugar, sweet tobacco and cake mix.
