Glenmorangie Nectar d'Or is a Highland single malt from the Glenmorangie Distillery in Tain, bottled at 46% ABV. It matured in American oak ex-bourbon casks, then was finished in French Sauternes barriques from Bordeaux, which give the whisky its name, meaning golden nectar.
The nose is honeyed from the Sauternes casks, and the palate is silky, with crisped grains, toasted coffee and soft creme brulee. Creamy honey and nut flavours are also noted, with hints of dark chocolate and cinnamon.
