Glenmorangie – Palo Cortado Finish 12 Year Old Single Malt

Glenmorangie Palo Cortado Finish is a 12 year old single malt from the Highland distillery known for the tallest pot stills in Scotland. It is part of the Private Edition series, a limited release. The 12-year-old spirit is finished in Palo Cortado sherry casks. Palo Cortado begins as a Fino and develops Amontillado character before taking on Oloroso-like richness, so the casks add nutty depth and dark fruit to the distillery's delicate, honeyed spirit. The finish is described as bringing nutty complexity, dried fruit and fine spice to a clean, floral, honeyed base.
