Sonnalta PX was released in 2009 as the first Glenmorangie in the series then called Private Collection and later renamed Private Edition. It comes in a one-litre bottle.
Glenmorangie finished the single malt in old Pedro Ximenez sherry casks, the sweetest style of sherry. Sonnalta means generous in Gaelic, a name chosen to suit its rich, deep character.
The notes are of dark chocolate and raisins.
