Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban 14 Year Old is a single malt Scotch bottled at 46% ABV, part of the Extra Mature Range. It was previously a 12 year old, and has been given two more years of maturation.
The whisky is matured in first-fill and second-fill ex-bourbon casks, then finished in port casks. These range in size from port pipes to small barriques, and the blend of sizes is unchanged. This 14 year old comes in a dark green livery.
The nose is fruity and floral, with orange zest, a touch of smoked oak, then chocolate, caramel and coconut. The palate is rich and velvety, with fruit sweets, mandarin, chocolate truffle and mint. The finish is long, with chocolate, nut and orange, mint and a hint of tobacco.
