Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban is a 14 year old Highland single malt Scotch whisky from Tain, bottled at 46% ABV in a 75cl bottle and non-chill-filtered.
It matures for at least ten years in ex-bourbon American white oak casks, then spends a further two years finishing in ruby port pipes from Portugal.
The nose is summer fruit tart with icing sugar, cedar and milky coffee, then almond pastries. The palate is plush, with chocolate mousse, Bourbon biscuits, orange oil, toasted almond, blackcurrant, raisin and port sweetness. The finish is long, with stewed berries, dark chocolate and a little nuttiness.
