Glenmorangie – Signet (75cl, 46%)

Glenmorangie Signet is a Highland single malt Scotch whisky bottled at 46% ABV in a 750ml bottle, with no age statement. Its mash includes chocolate malted barley, a heavily roasted grain more often used in dark stouts and porters, alongside Cadboll malted barley. The spirit is distilled once a year, during a dedicated period known as Signet Week, at the distillery in Tain, Ross-shire. The nose combines hibiscus with cocoa, espresso and spiced plum. The palate is velvety, with dark chocolate, candied orange and treacle pudding, and the long finish brings bittersweet chocolate, spice and dates.
