The Altus is a 25-year-old Highland single malt from Glenmorangie, the distillery known for the tallest pot stills in Scotland. The name comes from the Latin for 'high'.
After 25 years of maturation, the whisky is finished in ex-Sauternes wine casks. The finish adds honeyed, apricot and botrytised fruit character to the deep vanilla, dried fruit and oak of the aged spirit.
