A 12 year old Glenmorangie single malt from the Highlands, named after the historic lighthouse beside the distillery in Tain. It is bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky combines maturation in ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks, and is Dr Bill Lumsden's tribute to the distillery's location.
The nose brings vanilla, red apples, honeycomb, honey, lemon tart and custard, with a whisper of oak. On the palate are honey, almond, milk chocolate, pear drops and apricot, with sweet oak and warming spice. The finish is clean and warm, with sweet oak, fudge and light citrus.
