Glenmorangie The Nectar is a 16 year old Highland single malt, previously known as The Nectar D'Or. That original bottling aimed for a single malt that tastes like a dessert, and this version builds on its notes.
The whisky is matured in bourbon casks and dessert wine casks: Sauternes and Monbazillac from France, Moscatel from Spain and Tokaji from Hungary. The Tokaji casks add white chocolate, almond and honeycomb.
On the palate it is rich and sticky, with honeycomb, orange syrup and brioche, balanced by spice and lemon zest.
