Glenmorangie The Nectar 16 Year Old is a Highland single malt bottled at 46% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It spent 14 years in bourbon casks, then two more in Sauternes, Monbazillac, Moscatel and Tokaji wine casks.
Bronze gold in colour, it has a nose of brioche, baked apricot, vanilla pudding, toasted almond and a little chocolate truffle. On the palate come crème anglaise, raisin bread, chestnut, nutmeg and star anise, with fresh lemon zest. The finish is long, with honeycomb and warm bread.
