This is a 16-year-old Highland single malt from Glenmorangie, bottled at 46% in a 75cl bottle and non-chill filtered.
It matures for 14 years in ex-bourbon casks, then spends two years finishing in four dessert wine casks: Sauternes and Monbazillac from France, Moscatel from Spain and Tokaji from Hungary. Glenmorangie was founded in Tain in 1843.
The nose brings ripe apricot, peach, lemon-coated apple and brioche. The palate is fruit-forward, with baked apricot, honey, vanilla and a peppery spice, and a sticky texture lifted by lemon zest. The finish is long and warming, with baking spice and almond.
