Glenmorangie The Original is a 12-year-old Highland single malt, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. All twelve years are spent in American white oak casks that previously held bourbon.
The colour is bright gold. The nose is delicate, with citrus, ripe peach, pear and vanilla, plus floral notes and a soft touch of almond. The palate is silky and balanced, with honey, vanilla, stone fruit and soft caramel, and some coconut from the American oak. The finish is medium to long and clean, with vanilla, citrus and sweet oak.
