Glenmorangie – The Quinta Ruban 14 Year Old (75cl, 46%)

Glenmorangie The Quinta Ruban 14 Year Old is a Highland single malt from Tain, bottled at 46% ABV in a 75cl bottle and not chill-filtered. Aged 14 years in total, it matures first in bourbon casks and is then finished in ruby port casks, or port pipes, from the Quintas, the wine estates of Portugal. Ruban is Gaelic for ruby, a reference to those port casks. The whisky is distilled in Glenmorangie's tall stills. It is described as dark and voluptuous, with walnut and black pepper, mandarin orange and melted marshmallow, and dark chocolate with peppermint.
