Glenmorangie Triple Cask Reserve is a Highland single malt Scotch whisky from the distillery at Tain, bottled at 40% in a 750ml bottle. It is matured in three kinds of cask: ex-bourbon barrels, ex-rye whiskey casks and new charred oak. The rye casks are a rarity in Scotch whisky.
The nose brings citrus fruits and creamy vanilla, with subtle spice and orange blossom. On the palate there is honeyed pear, baked apple, candied orange and caramel, with nutmeg and clove. The finish is medium in length, with milk chocolate and gentle baking spice.
