This is a 16 year old Glenrothes single malt from Speyside, distilled in 2007 and bottled in 2023 by Gordon & MacPhail in its Connoisseurs Choice range. It comes in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky matured in oak casks, selected and aged under Gordon & MacPhail's care.
The nose brings ripe fruit, vanilla, caramel, sweet spice and a little toasted malt. The palate is soft and silky, with vanilla, ripe fruit, nutmeg and a pinch of white pepper. The finish is long, with woody notes and a faintly peaty aftertaste.
