This is a single cask Glenrothes 16 Year Old from the Gordon & MacPhail Connoisseurs Choice range, released as a UK exclusive to mark the bottler's 130th anniversary. The whisky was distilled in 2009, matured in a first-fill sherry hogshead and bottled on 6 June 2025.
It is natural colour and non-chill-filtered, bottled at 55.5% ABV, and the cask gave 302 bottles.
The nose is rich with fruitcake, stewed raspberries, cinnamon, raisins and sugared pastry. On the palate come stewed apples, juicy raisins, demerara sugar and hints of aniseed. The finish is long, with forest fruits and gentle spice.
