Glenrothes 25 Year Old is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky bottled at 43% ABV in a 75cl bottle. The distillery was founded in 1879 and distils from 100% malted barley.
This 25-year-old is matured mainly in first-fill sherry-seasoned oak casks.
The nose shows pineapple and mango, coriander seed, violets and nutmeg, with cedarwood and salted caramel beneath. The palate is silky, with vanilla, ripe mango, oak spice and a touch of malt. The finish is long, with citrus zest, gentle nuttiness and a little lingering spice.
