This Glenrothes Platinum 1987 is a single cask whisky aged for 34 years, drawn from cask number 9032 and sold in a 70cl bottle.
It is made from malted barley and spent more than three decades maturing in wood.
The nose is broad, with golden honey, delicate vanilla, toasted dried fruit and light spice. On the palate it turns soft and enveloping, and the finish is persistent.
