This is a Speyside single malt from Glenrothes, in a 70cl bottle at 48.8% ABV. It carries no age statement.
The whisky is matured entirely in first-fill sherry-seasoned oak casks and bottled at natural colour without chill filtration. Master Whisky Maker Gordon Motion chose the bottling strength himself, as the one he felt suited these casks best.
The nose opens with orange and tangerine, then blackberry jam, cinnamon and baking spice over warm toffee. The palate is rich and creamy, with red fruits, orange marmalade, nuts and building cinnamon and nutmeg. The finish is long and warming, with orange peel.
