Glentauchers 15 Year Old is a Speyside single malt distilled in February 2011 and bottled by Fruitful Spirits at 50.3%, in a 70cl bottle. It was finished in an oloroso sherry quarter cask, which adds dried fruit to toffee, oak spices and dark chocolate.
It is bottled at natural cask strength, without added colour or chill-filtration, and 178 bottles were released.
The nose is rich and sherried, with raisins, fig jam, dried cherry, walnut cake and brown sugar. The palate is full and rounded, with sultanas, dates, blackberry syrup and gingerbread. The finish is long and warming, with cocoa and molasses.
