Glentoshan 5 Year Old Pure Malt (75cl, 40%)

Glentoshan 5 Year Old Pure Malt is a single malt whisky from Auchentoshan (Lowland). Aged 5 years, bottled at 40% ABV, 75cl. This is an Eadie Cairns bottling of Auchentoshan for the Italian market in the early 1970s. The Italians reportedly had difficulty with the pronunciation of the distillery's name, so it was mercifully rebranded as Glentoshan when exported there. It is also believed they hoped the name would draw associations to the nation's most popular import, Glen Grant. A Lowland distillery based on the outskirts of Glasgow, famed for its exclusive use of triple distillation. It is part of the extensive Scotch whisky portfolio of Japanese multinational, Suntory Holdings. Condition: Label: scuffing and wear to front label edges.
