This is a five-year-old Highland single malt from Glenturret, released as the European Oak Expression and bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle.
Glenturret remains one of the smallest distilleries in Scotland, working with a mash tun that holds only a tonne of grist and with wooden washbacks. Licensed distilling on the site began in 1818, when John Drummond started making whisky there. The spirit it produces is described as light, acidic and intense.
