Ruadh Mhor is the heavily peated style from Glenturret, and the name is Gaelic for 'big red'. This 14 year old single malt was bottled by Berry Bros. & Rudd under the name The Auld & The Bold.
It was filled into a hogshead in 2011 and bottled in 2026 at a cask strength of 60.6%, in a 70cl bottle, with no added colour and no chill-filtering. The spirit is amber in colour.
The nose offers earthy peat, damp fern and scorched herbs over wildflower honey and apple peel. On the palate come charcoal and charred twigs, softened by a malty core.
