Glenturret Triple Wood is a Scotch single malt from Glenturret, described as the oldest working distillery in Scotland, in a 70cl bottle. It is matured in three types of cask: American oak ex-bourbon, European ex-sherry and new oak.
The nose shows dried fruit, sweet spice, a little vanilla and caramel, with some chocolate and a pinch of citrus. The palate is rich and velvety, with ripe fruit, cinnamon and a trace of nutmeg.
The finish is long, with toasted wood and a light peat note.
