Glyph 85H Molecular Whiskey (75cl, 43%)

Glyph 85H is a molecular whiskey from Endless West of San Francisco, California, in a 750ml bottle at 43% ABV. It is not distilled from grain or aged in barrels. The company maps a whiskey's flavour, aroma and mouthfeel at the molecular level, then sources matching molecules from plants, yeasts and other natural sources and assembles them note by note. This is the original Glyph expression, styled after Japanese whisky, and it pours a pale amber. It is built on a grain-neutral corn spirit. The nose is vanilla, roasted hazelnut and hints of caramel and honey. The palate is medium-bodied, with a wide spread of wood and spice and a hint of black fruit, and the finish is firm and earthy.
