Gold Bar Bitcoin Reserve is a limited edition bourbon made in San Francisco, bottled at 46.5% ABV (93 proof) in a 750ml bottle. It blends straight bourbons aged between 5 and 14 years and is finished in red wine barrels from Napa and Sonoma.
The release is limited to 21,000 bottles, a number that echoes Bitcoin's 21 million coin supply. The bottle is shaped like a gold bar and carries a commemorative metal Bitcoin coin.
The nose is caramel, dried red fruit, toasted oak and vanilla bean. The palate is toffee, dark berries, sweet grain and oak spice, and the finish is long and warming, with wine tannin, clove and cocoa.
