Gold Bar Blend 117 is a special edition 16-year-old whiskey made for Joe Montana's number 16. It blends American bourbon with Canadian rye, aged for at least 16 years, and is then finished in Cognac barrels and toasted oak staves. It is bottled at 90 proof (45%).
The bottle takes its cue from Montana's throwback 49ers jersey and carries a limited edition San Francisco 49ers overstrip with his signature. The 117 stands for his total regular season career wins.
The flavours are described as dried fruit, spice and apricots.
