Gold Bar is a blended American whiskey bottled at 40% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It combines whiskies from Kentucky and Indiana distilleries, which are blended and then finished in used French oak wine barrels from Napa Valley at a distillery on Treasure Island, in San Francisco bay. The finishing takes place in a gold plated barrel.
Each bottle is individually numbered and has a Lady of Fortune coin pressed into the glass at the front.
It is described as having a herbaceous nose with clove, cardamom, vanilla, rye, honey and apple. The palate begins with spice, apple and fresh citrus balanced by honey, light-bodied and gentle, and the finish is smooth with no bitterness.
