A limited edition American blended whiskey made for the California Golden Bears football programme, which dates back to 1886. The bottle has a custom over-strip, the 'CAL' logo and a label in the team colours.
The whiskey is distilled from 88% corn, 9% rye and 3% barley, then finished in former Napa Valley wine barrels. The base whiskies come from distilleries across America, and the finishing is done in San Francisco.
It is golden amber in colour. The nose offers burnt sugars and honeyed grains, opening to orchard fruits and red berries. The palate is warming and creamy, with red fruits, baking spices and gentle wood smoke, and the finish is clean with lingering vanilla sweetness.
