Gold Bar Diamond Edition is an 18-year-old blended American whiskey, created in partnership with jeweller Kyle Chan. It is finished in French oak Cognac barrels and then with toasted French oak staves, and bottled at 47.5% ABV (95 proof).
It comes in a gold-bullion-shaped bottle, individually numbered.
The nose has deep caramel, toasted oak and vanilla bean. The palate is velvety and layered, with dark chocolate, dried fruit and warm baking spices, plus gentle sweetness from the Cognac barrels. The finish is long, with spiced toffee, charred oak, a subtle smoky dryness and lingering sweetness.
