This is the Gold Bar Lunar New Year 2026 edition, a limited release for the Year of the Horse. An American blended whiskey at 40% ABV, it is distilled in San Francisco from corn, rye and barley, then finished in California casks seasoned with Napa Valley wine.
It comes in the brand's gold-ingot shaped bottle, which carries an illustration of a stallion and a removable coin emblem.
The nose offers ripe orchard fruits, vanilla, toasted oak and sweet spice. The palate is smooth, with caramel, red berries, baked apple and hints of spice, and the finish is long and soft, with wine and oak lingering.
