Gold Bar is an American blended whisky in a 1 litre bottle, made from rye (15%), corn (20%) and barley (5%).
It matures in French oak casks that previously held Californian wine and have their inner walls coated in gold. The casks are kept outdoors beside San Francisco Bay. The glass bottle is shaped like a gold ingot and carries a solid brass Lady of Fortune coin.
The nose offers hay and red fruits. The palate is creamy and light, with pear, vanilla and oak.
