González Byass Viña AB Amontillado Seco 12 Años (75cl)

Viña AB is a dry Amontillado sherry from the González Byass bodega in Jerez de la Frontera. It is made from Palomino and aged through the traditional criaderas and solera system, reaching an average age of around 12 years. The ageing is in two stages: first under flor, then in contact with oxygen. This gives the sherry its balance of freshness and savoury depth. The nose is intense and complex, with almond, hazelnut and dried fruit, plus saline, woody and herbal touches. The palate is fully dry, elegant and structured, with almond, hazelnut, toasty notes and a gentle oxidative edge. The finish is long, dry and persistent. It suits jamón ibérico, aged cheeses, mushrooms and smoked fish.
