Goodwood Bourbon Whiskey Finished in Honey Ale Barrels (75cl, 45%)

Goodwood Bourbon Finished in Honey Ale Barrels is a 45% ABV Kentucky bourbon from Goodwood Brewing & Spirits in Louisville, in a 75cl bottle. It is aged in charred American white oak, then finished in barrels that held Goodwood's Honey Ale, a beer that was itself aged in brandy barrels. The bourbon is a deep amber colour. On the nose there is flowery honey, caramel and a hint of vanilla. The palate brings brown sugar and molasses, giving way to oak, toffee, dark fruit and anise, and the finish is dry and woody with plenty of depth.
