This is a Glen Grant single malt from Gordon & MacPhail's Archive Release series. It was distilled on 17th September 1962 and bottled on 18th September 2018 at 56 years old and 54.6% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. The whisky matured in a first fill sherry butt and has a darkest mahogany colour. The nose combines rich sherry influence with dark fruits, dried figs, blackcurrant and spicy cloves, with treacle, polished oak and aged leather behind. On the palate come fruitcake, intense spices, Seville orange and charred oak, then Morello cherries, liquorice and subtle coffee grounds. The finish is long and full bodied, with plenty of spice and oak.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
