This Connoisseur's Choice from Gordon & MacPhail is a single cask Glen Grant, a Speyside single malt distilled on 24 April 1997. It matured for 26 years in a refill American oak hogshead and was bottled at cask strength on 31 October 2023, in a 70cl bottle.
The colour is pale golden straw, with a smooth, medium-to-full mouthfeel.
The nose offers lemon zest, watermelon, roasted peanuts, red apple and cocoa with soft vanilla oak. On the palate come creamy malted barley, orchard fruits, citrus peel, toasted almonds and light honey. The finish is long and clean, with soft cocoa and delicate wood spice.
