A 25 year old Linkwood single malt from the Gordon & Macphail Distillery Labels range, in a 750ml bottle.
The nose offers baked apple, stewed raisin and cinnamon over rich sherry influences, with sweet liquorice, light floral notes and a polished oak edge.
On the palate it is sweet and spicy, with date, prune and raisin beside warming pepper, cinnamon and clove. Blackcurrant, cherry jam and candied citrus fruit come through. The finish is lingering oak, balanced by a nutty edge.
