This is a 15-year-old single cask Glen Grant from Speyside, bottled by Gordon & MacPhail in its Spirit of Scotland range. It was distilled in 2010 and matured entirely in a first-fill sherry butt before bottling in 2026 at its natural cask strength of 60.4%. The outturn is 611 bottles.
The first-fill sherry gives the fruit-driven spirit considerable richness, with sultanas, blackberries, citrus, aromatic spice and roasted nuts.
The nose is clove-studded tangerine and juicy raisins with cardamom. The palate leads with sweet sultanas, then ripe blackberry and citrus zest over concentrated sherry sweetness. The finish is long and warming, with hazelnut, fresh raspberry, spice and oak.
