Gosling's Family Reserve (70cl)

Gosling's Family Reserve is a rum from Bermuda, produced in a limited edition and aged for an extended period in oak barrels that previously held bourbon. It is deep amber in colour, with mahogany tones. On the nose it shows dark chocolate, caramel and a light trace of exotic spices such as vanilla and nutmeg. On the palate it opens with balanced sweetness, then develops into mature fruit and tobacco, with a long, soft finish and a hint of toasted wood. It is suited to drinking neat, perhaps with dark chocolate, or in cocktails such as the Dark 'n' Stormy. It comes in a 70cl bottle.
