Gran Duque d'Alba Brandy 1877 is a Spanish brandy aged for three years in oak casks, from the Jerez tradition.
On the nose it shows mature fruit, sweet spices such as vanilla and a light touch of caramel, balanced by a subtle hint of toasted oak. On the palate it is soft yet structured, with cooked fruit, nuts and chocolate, and a notable persistence.
It is best enjoyed neat after a meal, perhaps with dark chocolate or aged cheeses.
