Gran Duque d'Alba Solera Gran Reserva is a brandy from Williams & Humbert, made by distilling wine and then ageing it by the solera method.
The spirit rests in oak casks that previously held Oloroso sherry, which gives it a long, wood-driven character.
In the glass it is a bright mahogany with golden glints. The nose is complex, with balsamic notes and the influence of its long time in wood. The palate is full and soft, with toasted oak and vanilla, and the finish is very long.
