Grand Marnier Cordon Jaune was the original Marnier orange liqueur, produced with neutral grain spirit and essentially a Triple Sec or Curaçao. Louis-Alexandre Marnier-Lapostolle later replaced the base spirit with Cognac, creating the more famous Cordon Rouge. Production ceased on 1 January 2017 after Gruppo Campari acquired the Marnier portfolio.
